Other farms are small family farms or hobby farms. A number of the farms are commercial dairy farms that sell to the milk industry to provide milk for the State's grocery stores. When compiling the latest Comprehensive Plan, a list of 31 farms was collected. The Town has become an agriculture cluster with extensive farming activities. The Town and area are indeed fortunate to be able to come to our local farms and the Farmers' Market. Providing jobs, income and wholesome foods, farming is an economic benefit to the community.
